It focuses on the concept of the ‘little black dress’, popularized by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in the 1920’s. 2021 Middle School

Day of the Dead Art Exhibition

The Day of the Dead Middle School Art Exhibition is an annual event held at the TMA. Middle school students create artworks in their classrooms that celebrate the cultural festivities of Día de los Muertos. The artwork will be exhibited in the museum’s classroom and lobby.

The goal of this event is to showcase student artwork and encourage middle school students to learn more about Mexico’s culture and festivities.

This year, we had 18 school districts in the East Texas area and a total of 743 students participating in the exhibition.

The exhibition will be open to the public on October 31st, 2021, and it will close on November 7th, 2021.
